The file

Four joysticks on one wide cabinet, four players who'd never met, and a dungeon where your health ticked down whether you moved or not. Gauntlet was designed to make you keep feeding it quarters, and it was honest about it.

The narrator's voice, warning that the elf needed food badly, was the arcade's most-quoted line for a year. It was also the first four-player cooperative game, and the first where someone shot the food.
