The case
The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights and the sparkle at the start of every VHS: Tinker Bell, the castle, the fireworks. Ask people what she does and they'll describe her tapping the i.
Frame through the openings and she circles the castle, sprinkles pixie dust and exits. The logo's i gets no visit. It's a case where the memory is more satisfying than the footage.
Why our brains do this
A logo with a small i and a fairy with a wand is a story that writes itself. Memory finishes it.
