One of the big mall record chains — the new-release wall up front, the singles rack, the poster bins you flipped through like a catalog, and a genre section for whatever you were into that year. It grew to hundreds of stores before the CD boom peaked. Absorbed by a larger music retailer and shuttered by the early 2000s.
