The Ground Round

1969–2004

Peanuts on the floor, cartoons on the screen.

Restaurants

The family grill where a basket of peanuts sat on every table and you were actually encouraged to toss the shells on the floor, old silent cartoons flickered on a screen for the kids, and some nights children paid a price based on their age or weight. Casual, loud, and forgiving of a messy toddler. Most corporate locations closed abruptly in 2004.
