The water-and-amusement park next to the Columbus Zoo in Powell — the definition of a Central Ohio summer for a generation of kids. Opened as Wyandot Lake in 1984 on grounds that had been an amusement park since the 1930s, it kept the beloved Sea Dragon, one of the oldest operating wooden roller coasters in the country (built in 1956 as the Jet Flyer). Six Flags ran it in its final years; after the 2006 season the Columbus Zoo bought it and remade it as Zoombezi Bay.
