EB — trade-ins and the new-release wall.
“EB” — the mall game store where you traded in a stack of old titles for credit toward the next one, put down a reservation slip for the big upcoming release, and studied the wall of new arrivals behind the counter. For a lot of teens it was the weekly pilgrimage. It was absorbed into GameStop in a 2005 merger and rebranded away.
