Tandy's answer to the big-box future — electronics megastores the size of a stadium, with employees called "cast members," a karaoke stage, a baby-sitting area, and a wall of hundreds of TVs all playing at once. It was too big to be profitable; Tandy sold or closed the stores by 1997.
