Black Box

Black Box is an Italian Italo house group active since 1989, known for their infectious dance tracks. The lineup features DJ Daniele Davoli, clarinetist Valerio Semplici, keyboardist Mirko Limoni, and vocalist Celestine Walcott-Gordon. French model Katrin Quinol became the face of the group, appearing in their music videos and on album covers, most notably for "Ride on Time." Interestingly, while Quinol was the visual star, much of the actual vocal work on their debut album, "Dreamland," was performed by American singer Martha Wash, who remained uncredited. With hits like "Everybody Everybody" and "Strike It Up," Black Box delivered a sound that kept dance floors alive and celebrated the era's vibrant club culture.
