Ride On Time by Black Box — cover art

Picture yourself on a sun-soaked dance floor, the infectious beats of Italo house pulsating through the air. That’s where Black Box, an Italian groove machine, made their mark. Hailing from Italy, this collective of musical talents includes DJ Daniele Davoli, clarinetist Valerio Semplici, and keyboard wizard Mirko Limoni, all bringing their unique flair to the dance scene. With the captivating Celestine Walcott-Gordon lending her voice, tracks like "Everybody Everybody" and "Strike It Up" became anthems for a generation. While the stunning Katrin Quinol dazzled as the face of Black Box in music videos, the real magic came from the uncredited powerhouse of Martha Wash, whose voice soared through the melodies. Black Box crafted a sound that still reverberates through our memories, reminding us of nights spent lost in the rhythm, where every beat felt like freedom.
