Lush was a British rock band that emerged in the late '80s, comprised of Miki Berenyi, Emma Anderson, Chris Acland, and Phil King. Known for their lush sound that combined dreamy melodies with a strong guitar presence, they became one of the early proponents of the shoegaze genre. Their catalog boasts standout tracks like “Sweetness and Light,” “De-Luxe,” “For Love,” and “Hypocrite.” The band’s ethereal harmonies and layered instrumentation made their music a staple of the alternative scene. After the tragic loss of drummer Acland, Lush disbanded in 1996, leaving behind a distinctive legacy that still echoes through the years for fans of '90s rock.
