Skinny Puppy is a Canadian band known for their electro-industrial and industrial rock sound, originating from Vancouver in 1982. Initially an experimental side project for cEvin Key during his time with new wave outfit Images in Vogue, the group solidified its identity with the addition of vocalist Nivek Ogre. Over the years, their music evolved through a series of albums and live performances, featuring a mix of electronic body music elements. Key and Ogre remained the core duo, while various collaborators joined along the way. Tracks like "Worlock," "Assimilate," and "Smothered Hope" showcase their innovative approach, leaving an unmistakable imprint on the industrial music scene.
