A synth bass, a sawmill, a waterfall, and a theme that sounded like a dream someone was having about the '50s. Badalamenti wrote it with Lynch describing the scene to him in real time at the keyboard.

The show lasted two seasons and the theme has lasted forever. Younger Gen X watched it with the sound up and the lights off.
