The Story
King Diamond is a heavy metal band from Denmark, active since 1985. Known for their theatrical sound and intricate storytelling, they emerged from the ashes of Mercyful Fate, with vocalist King Diamond and guitarist Michael Denner as founding pillars. Over the years, the lineup has shifted significantly, but the creative core remains anchored by Diamond and longtime collaborator Andy LaRocque. Their music features dark, operatic melodies combined with powerful riffs, evident in tracks like "Halloween" and "Welcome Home." As they continue to evolve, King Diamond remains a staple for those who appreciate the blend of heavy metal with a flair for the dramatic, proving that their sound is as compelling today as ever.
