🎧 Ask the DJ about Rosie & The OriginalsThe Story
Rosie & The Originals is an American doo-wop group known for their classic single "Angel Baby." Fronted by the distinctive voice of Rosie Hamlin, they made a mark in the early ’60s with their smooth harmonies and heartfelt lyrics, epitomizing the doo-wop sound that defined the era. Signed to Highland Records, the group released two singles during their time, but their journey wasn't without challenges; like many artists of the day, they found themselves tangled in legal disputes over royalties and credits. Despite the hurdles, "Angel Baby" remains a beautiful reminder of their contribution to the doo-wop genre, capturing the innocence and longing of young love.
