Tangerine Dream is a German electronic music band known for their pioneering work in the Krautrock genre, active since 1967. Founded by Edgar Froese, the group has evolved through various lineups, with Froese remaining the sole constant until his passing in 2015. The mid-1970s trio featuring Froese, Christopher Franke, and Peter Baumann crafted numerous film scores, creating a unique blend of ambient and electronic sounds. Today, under the guidance of Thorsten Quaeschning, who joined in 2005, Tangerine Dream continues to explore new sonic horizons. With members like violinist Hoshiko Yamane and Ulrich Schnauss, the band still captivates fans, delivering pieces like "Love on a Real Train" that echo their innovative spirit.
