The Story
The Fuzz is an American female vocal trio from Washington, D.C., known for their blend of soulful harmonies and thematic storytelling. Originally called The Passionettes, they changed their name upon signing with Calla Records. Their self-titled debut album was notable for being one of the first concept albums by a female group, creatively weaving together monologues and songs that likened love to the four seasons. With much of their material penned by a group member, they influenced the smooth style that Love Unlimited would later popularize. Their standout track, “I Love You for All Seasons,” showcased their vocal prowess, leaving a lasting impression long after their disbandment in 1972.
