The Story
The Jive Five is an American doo-wop group known primarily for their smooth harmonies and catchy melodies. Their signature track, "My True Story," showcases their knack for blending heartfelt lyrics with rich vocal arrangements. Beyond their musical contributions, they also lent their voices to ID jingles for Nickelodeon in the late 1980s, a gig that kept their sound in the ears of a new generation until 1992. With a style that captures the essence of doo-wop's charm, The Jive Five’s music remains a delightful reminder of an era when vocal harmony was king and heartfelt storytelling took center stage.
