The Ronettes were a girl group from Washington Heights, Manhattan, known for their blend of popular music and rhythm and blues. Fronted by lead singer Ronnie Spector, along with her sister Estelle Bennett and cousin Nedra Talley, the trio first sang together as "The Darling Sisters" before signing with Colpix Records. Their sound, characterized by rich harmonies and catchy melodies, helped shape the early '60s pop landscape. With hits like "Be My Baby" and "Walking in the Rain," they showcased a distinctive style that combined sweet vocals with an upbeat energy, making them standout performers of their time.
