When In Rome is a UK-based electronic dance music group known for their synth-pop and new wave sound. The trio consisted of vocalists Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann, alongside keyboardist Michael Floreale. Their most recognized track, "The Promise," became a staple of late '80s playlists and is a quintessential anthem of the era. The band was active from 1987 until their original lineup disbanded in 1990. Despite their short run, they've left a mark on the dance music scene. Interestingly, as of 2012, two different groups have operated under the When In Rome name, showcasing the enduring appeal of their sound long after the original members parted ways.
