What is Four-Track?
Four-Track is a free daily music connections puzzle. A cassette has four tracks, so the board has 16 songs hiding four groups of four. The link might be the artist, the year they charted, the movie they soundtracked, or a theme like one-hit wonders or prom slow-dances.
You get four mistakes. Solve all four groups and you'll see why each set belonged together — then share your result and come back tomorrow for a new board.
How to play
- 1Tap four songs you think share a connection, then submit.
- 2Right? The group locks in and its connection is revealed. Wrong? That's a strike — four strikes ends the round.
- 3Some songs could fit more than one group. Find the tightest link first and the rest gets easier.
- 4Share your grid. Want more after the daily? Play a random board — same rules, no streak.
Questions
- Is Four-Track free?
- Yes — free, no account, no ads. Your streak and results live in your browser.
- How often is there a new Four-Track puzzle?
- One new daily board for everyone. There's also an endless random-board mode when you want another round without touching your streak.
- How are the groups chosen?
- From the G33Z3R catalog: the same artist, the same chart year, the same movie soundtrack, or one of our themed collections.
- Is Four-Track like NYT Connections?
- Same 16-tile, four-groups, four-mistakes format — but every tile is a real '60s–'90s song, and the connections are musical.
- What if I don't recognize a song?
- Every tile shows the artist under the title, and once the round ends you can hear every song on your platform.
