Larry's Bar
1938–2008
“Poetry readings and the bohemian corner of campus.”
Campus Bars · High St · OSU · 2040 N. High St.
The dim, bohemian dive the Paoletti family ran for decades — grant-funded poetry readings, grad-student arguments, and a beloved eclectic crowd that made it the self-styled "center of the universe." After founder Larry's death in 1999 it carried on until late 2008, when it finally closed. A Moe's stands there now.
Did you hang out at Larry's Bar? What do you remember?
The drive, the dance, the heartbreak, the summer. Add a memory of Larry's Bar.
