Cardboard discs with pictures on them, a heavier plastic disc to throw, and a rule about keeps that got the game banned from every school in the country. Pogs were the playground economy of 1994.

The pictures were the collectible part: 8-ball, yin-yang, skulls, licensed everything. The World POG Federation ran it like a sport for two years and then it was over, faster than any fad on this list.
