The file
Six faces, 54 stickers, and one solved side that you could get to before it fell apart. The Cube arrived in 1980 and within two years was in every house, mostly scrambled, sometimes with the stickers peeled off and rearranged by a cheater.
The craze burned out by 1983, which is why the Cube reads as the early '80s specifically. It never went away, though; kids today solve it in seconds and there's a world record measured in hundredths.
