The file

A black disc with four colored lights and four tones, and a game so simple it couldn't be explained wrong. Simon was the first electronic toy that everyone's house had, and the sound of it is a late-'70s time stamp.

It was designed by Ralph Baer, who also invented the home video game console, which makes it the most distinguished thing you ever lost to a younger sibling.
