The Story
Bill Conti is an American composer and conductor known for his work in film scores and disco. He created the rousing "Gonna Fly Now" (Theme from "Rocky") and the motivational "Going the Distance," both of which have become synonymous with determination and victory. Beyond the "Rocky" series, his compositions for films like "The Karate Kid" and "For Your Eyes Only" showcase his versatility and knack for capturing the essence of the stories on screen. Conti also made a name for himself as a musical director at the Academy Awards, where he shared his talents with a wider audience. His melodies remain a part of our collective soundtrack, inspiring legions of fans.
