The Story
Derek & The Dominos was a blues rock band from the United States, active since 1970 and fronted by Eric Clapton. The group also featured keyboardist Bobby Whitlock, bassist Carl Radle, and drummer Jim Gordon, all of whom had previously collaborated with Delaney & Bonnie. Their sound blended heartfelt lyrics and soulful guitar work, with "Layla" standing out as a signature track that showcased Clapton's emotive playing and raw vocal style. The band’s roots intertwined with notable figures like George Harrison, who participated in their early sessions. Though their time together was brief, the music they created continues to echo through the halls of rock history.
