The Story
Portrait is an American R&B and hip hop vocal quartet from the United States, featuring Michael Angelo Saulsberry, Irving Washington III, Eric Kirkland, and Philip Johnson. Their sound draws heavily on the new jack swing style that was popular in the late '80s and early '90s, blending smooth harmonies with rhythmic beats. Known for their catchy hooks and melodic flair, Portrait made waves with tracks like "Here We Go Again!" Their music encapsulates the era's groove, and while the group may not be a household name today, their contributions to the genre reflect the vibrant spirit of the time. For those who remember, it’s a sweet slice of nostalgia.
