The Story
The Happenings is a pop music group from the United States, known for their catchy melodies and harmonies. Originally called "The Four Graduates," the band formed in Paterson, New Jersey, right after high school. Core members included Bob Miranda, David Libert, Tom Giuliano, and Ralph DiVito, who later saw some lineup changes with Bernie LaPorta and drummer Lenny Conforti joining the fold. Their sound blended upbeat pop with a hint of doo-wop, delivering hits like "See You In September" and "I Got Rhythm." With a reputation for lively performances, they made their mark on college campuses before Libert moved on to manage other notable acts, leaving an enduring legacy in the pop scene.
