Yes. McDonald's spent much of the late '80s and early '90s trying to become a dinner destination, and McPizza was the big swing: real pizza, family size, baked in ovens that some restaurants had to be remodeled to fit.
The problem was time. A pizza took long enough that the drive-thru backed up, and McDonald's is a company built on seconds. The ovens came out through the '90s. Two restaurants in Ohio and West Virginia kept making it until 2017, and people drove hours for it.
