The file

Six notes, one line, and it has closed every Nationwide commercial since the Johnson administration. It's less a jingle than a signature, and it's the one Gen X heard most often, because it was at the end of every ad break.

The Peyton Manning spots turned it into a running joke for a new generation. The original is a 1960s choir, and it has never needed changing.
