Club Dance
1990s–2000s
“Two rooms: hip-hop on one side, country on the other.”
Dance Clubs · East Side · Brice Rd
The massive multi-room dance megaplex off Brice Road on the East Side, where completely different crowds shared one roof — one side (later the Bourbon Street room) spinning club anthems and hip-hop, the other a huge country hall, The Big Easy, with line-dancing and national touring acts like Merle Haggard. That era of mega-clubs finally wound down in the early 2000s.
Did you dance at Club Dance? What do you remember?
The drive, the dance, the heartbreak, the summer. Add a memory of Club Dance.
