Crazy Mama's

1970s–1980s

Columbus new wave before the radio caught on.

Dance Clubs · Campus / near-East Side

A legendary pioneer of the Columbus counter-culture scene — it started on campus and later moved to the near-East Side (Glandon Court), and it was THE place for cutting-edge new wave, post-punk and synth-pop, spinning the B-52s, Talking Heads and Blondie long before they were radio fixtures. Its heyday ran through the late 1970s and '80s, with later iterations after.
