“Big-80s Thursdays and Monday goth-night eyeliner.”

The pitch-black High Street club with an elevated dance floor, a plate-glass window made for people-watching, and a DJ booth you reached by ladder. Thursdays were "Big 80s" and Mondays were goth night — raccoon-eye mascara, Nine Inch Nails, the works. It went the way of the whole strip when redevelopment leveled South Campus in the mid-2000s.
