The '80s life of the same underground South Campus room — a dance floor with mirrors on the ceiling, a cheap cover, and a DJ swinging from progressive to Top 40. The basement had been the Mind Shaft before it, and around 1989 it changed again into the alt-dance club Purity (and later The Pit) — one address, a whole run of campus-bar lives.
