A light box, a sheet of black paper with the picture printed in letters, and hundreds of small plastic pegs that ended up in the vacuum. Lite-Brite was the toy you did on the floor in a dark room with the jingle going in your head.
The pegs were the whole problem and the whole appeal: sorting them by color, running out of the one color the picture needed, stepping on one barefoot. The clown picture is the one everyone made first.
