The Story
Dropkick Murphys is a Celtic punk band from Quincy, Massachusetts, active since 1996. With co-lead vocalist Ken Casey at the helm, the group has carved a distinct sound that blends traditional Irish melodies with punk rock energy. Their music is marked by rowdy anthems like “Barroom Hero,” which captures the spirit of camaraderie and revelry. The band’s live performances are known for their high-octane energy, often transforming venues into raucous celebrations. With a lineup that includes Marc Orrell among others, Dropkick Murphys has become a staple in the punk scene, delivering an infectious blend of grit and heart that keeps fans coming back for more.
