NOFX is a punk rock band from the United States known for their eclectic mix of skate punk, ska punk, and melodic hardcore. Since their inception in 1983, they’ve been a staple of the punk scene, showcasing a sound that blends sharp guitar riffs with witty, often irreverent lyrics. The core lineup features bassist and lead vocalist Fat Mike, rhythm guitarist Eric Melvin, and drummer Erik Sandin, who has been with the band through thick and thin, aside from a brief hiatus. Joining them in 1991, El Hefe adds lead guitar and trumpet, completing their signature sound. Tracks like “Linoleum” and “Bob” highlight their ability to balance humor with punk's raw energy, making them a distinctive voice in the genre.
