The Story
Pop Will Eat Itself is a British alternative rock band known for their eclectic blend of grebo, rap rock, and industrial sounds. Originating from the West Midlands, they’ve been active since 1986 and feature Clint Mansell among their ranks. The band’s music is characterized by a mix of sample-driven indie and punk influences, with Graham Crabb describing their unique style as “hybrid music for fucking, fighting & smoking cigars.” Their catalog boasts tracks like “Def Con One,” “Wise Up! Sucker,” and the cheekily titled “Beaver Patrol.” With their bold experimentation, Pop Will Eat Itself left an indelible mark on the alternative scene, proving that their sound is as wild as their name suggests.
