The Story
Marcy Playground is an alternative rock band from the United States, featuring John Wozniak on vocals and guitar, Dylan Keefe on bass, and Shlomi Lavie on drums. They gained recognition with their mellow yet catchy track "Sex and Candy," which captures a laid-back vibe that resonated with listeners who enjoyed the grunge-inflected sound of the late '90s. Alongside other tunes like "Comin' Up from Behind," the band carved out a space in the alternative scene, blending introspective lyrics with a distinct melodic flair. With a discography that reflects the angst and allure of their time, Marcy Playground remains a notable name in the annals of '90s alternative rock.
