The Story
Mudhoney is an American alternative rock and grunge band from Seattle, active since 1988. Comprised of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison, and drummer Dan Peters, the group emerged from the ashes of Green River. They made a name for themselves with raw and gritty tracks like "Touch Me I'm Sick" and "Suck You Dry," channeling a sound that perfectly captured the angst of the era. Original bassist Matt Lukin briefly departed in 1999 but made a return for a tour in 2000. Mudhoney's energetic performances and distinctive style have earned them a dedicated following, securing their place in the alt-rock pantheon.
