The Story
Temple of the Dog is an American alternative rock and grunge supergroup that emerged from Seattle in 1990. Created by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden as a tribute to his late friend, Andrew Wood, the lineup features notable musicians such as Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron. Eddie Vedder also lent his vocals, which added a unique flavor to the project. Their self-titled album showcases tracks like “Hunger Strike” and “Say Hello 2 Heaven,” blending heartfelt lyrics with raw instrumentation. This collaboration not only highlighted the talent of its members but also served as a poignant reminder of friendship and loss in the vibrant Seattle music scene.
